Sadananda Gowda takes charge as railway minister

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Sadananda Gowda took charge as the railway minister here on Tuesday.
"There are several challenges in front of the railway department, which will be studied and steps will be taken to address those issues," said Gowda.
According to a press communique released by Rashtrapati Bhavan today, Gowda was allocated the railway ministry by President Pranab Mukherjee as advised by the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi.
