ANI New Delhi [India]

The Supreme Court on Monday granted 14-days interim bail to Bengaluru blast case accused Abdul Nazeer Madani to attend his son's marriage.

Madani had asked the apex court to grant him bail to attend his son Umar Mukhtar' wedding to be held at Thalassery on August 9.

Earlier in July 24, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) court had rejected Madani's plea seeking bail.

Madani, who was arrested in Kerala on August 17, 2010, was lodged in Parappana Agrahara Jail since then for his involvement in the 2008 Bengaluru serial blasts and similar incidents in Ahmedabad, Surat and Jaipur.

The serial blasts prior to a poll meeting to be addressed by senior BJP leader LK Advani, had left 58 people dead and over 200 others injured.
