Security was tightened in Myanmar capital Naypyitaw on Wednesday morning before the commencement of the 25thAssociation of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) summit.
Police has been deployed at various checkpoints and gate entrances around the summit venue, and was busy inspecting vehicles.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who arrived in the country on Tuesday, will also be attending the summit.
The Prime Minister met with Myanmar President Thein Sein yesterday, where he discussed the strengthening of ties between New Delhi and Nay Pyi Taw in the fields of culture, commerce and connectivity.
