Special effects guru Robbie Knott dies at 73

Special Effects Guru, Robbie Knott who worked for films like 'The Muppet Movie' and 'Field of Dreams' has died at the age of 73.
Knott's son Brian told The Hollywood Reporter that he died because of complications from the scuba-diving accident that occurred in 2006 during a visit to Micronesia when he became paralyzed from the waist down.
Apart from movies, he also worked on television programs such as NBC's Remington Steele.
Knott attended Hollywood High School and spent most of his childhood with his mother who worked as an assistant to legendary costume designer Edith Head.
He is survived by his daughters Misty, Victoria and Scarlet; grandchildren Alex, Andrea and Alexis; and nephew Jeffrey Knott.
