Star Wars: Episode VII to release on Dec. 18, 2015

Walt Disney Studios has finally announced that the upcoming Star Wars

Alan Horn, chairman of Walt Disney Studios, said that they are very excited to share the official 2015 release date for the upcoming sci-fi film, so that they can ensure that their extraordinary filmmaking team has the time needed to deliver a sensational picture, CBS News reported.

This marks the first time in the franchise's history where a 'Star Wars' film won't be released in the summer.
