According to statement from his son, the 'Airplane!' actor, who has almost 200 credits to his name, has passed away at his home in Los Angeles on Christmas day after a brief illness, TMz.com reports.

Wingreen, who also appeared on 'The Twlight Zone', 'Archie Bunker's Place' and 'The Untouchables,' was known for his role as Harry Snowden on the television sitcom 'All in the Family' and its continuation series, 'Archie Bunker's Place.
