Telephone exchange case: SC stays proceedings against Maran

The Supreme Court on Monday extended the stay on former telecom minister Dayanidhi Maran's arrest in the illegal telephone exchange case.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) had sought Maran's arrest in connection with the case. Maran had moved the apex court and obtained a stay on his arrest.

The apex court had earlier given interim relief to Maran, staying his arrest till September 14.
