Terror activities rise in India by 70 percent: Global Terrorism Index

The terror activities in India have increased by 70 percent during 2012-2013, according to the Global Terrorism Index 2014.

The report, prepared by Institute for Economics and Peace (IEP), says most of the deaths were caused by Naxals.

According to the Global Terrorism Index 2014, the number of attacks also increased with 55 more incidents in 2013 than in 2012.

The Global Terrorism Index also reveals that Naxals are by far the most frequent perpetrators and the main cause of deaths in India. The police are the biggest targets of the ultras.
