A top American doctor has downplayed concerns about somebody bringing the deadly Ebola disease across the U.S.-Mexico border in an attempt to conduct a bio-terror attack.
Dr. Anthony Fauci, the director of the National Institute of Infectious Diseases, said on Sunday that he is not worried about an illegal immigrant coming across the border and bringing the epidemic into the U.S. He also said that the virus would be ineffective as a bio-terror weapon, reported Fox News.
The recent Ebola outbreak in West Africa has claimed more than 3,400 lives this year in the region.
