Train derailment in Pak leaves 12 dead

At least 12 people were killed and several others were injured when a train derailed in Pakistan's Baluchistan province on Tuesday.
The mishap took place near Baluchistan's capital Quetta when the brakes of the Rawalpindi bound train, which was carrying around 300 passengers, failed and the train sped down the side of a mountain.
The train's driver and two assistants were among those killed. The injured have been shifted to hospitals in Quetta while those critically injured were airlifted to hospital in two helicopters.
According to reports, the army and the paramilitary Frontier Corps have joined a rescue and relief operations.
