UN to adopt resolution over Syrian chemical weapons attacks

The UN may soon adopt a resolution to identify those behind chemical weapons attacks in Syria.
According to the BBC, UN chief Ban Ki-Moon and the head of the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) has been asked to recommend a team of investigators within 20 days to inquire into the Syrian attacks.
Samantha Power, the US ambassador to the UN said that the resolution was adopted after a unanimous voting, which came after the US and Russia agreed on the common goal to punish the perpetrators.
A mission to eliminate Syria's chemical arsenal was set up after a deadly attack outside Damascus took place in August 2013.
