Proceeding in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly were disrupted after the opposition demanded an enquiry into the alleged irregularity in the recruitment if police.
According to reports, a united opposition, comprising of the Bahujan Samaj Party, the Bharatiya Janata Party, the Congress and the Rashtriya Lok Dal, has demanded a judicial or CBI investigation after 34,000 candidates out of 41,000 posts were selected from only three districts in the state.
However, UP Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Mohammad Azam Khan is said to have dismissed the allegations, saying that only deserving persons were selected.
