Uttarakhand: Australian national arrested for keeping satellite phone

The police apprehended an Australian citizen with satellite phone in Uttarakhand's Badrinath.
On that note, no one, except the security forces, are allowed to use satellite phones in India.
According to the police report, Ian John, the residents of Queensland, Australia was arrested from Dehradun's Alakapuri after he was found carrying the phone, late Tuesday night.
He has been booked under the charges of Indian Telegraph Act and Indian Wireless Act.
