Vice President Mohammad Hamid Ansari and Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh have greeted the nation on the joyous occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.
Vice President Ansari in his message said that the festival celebrated with gaiety and piety all across the country reinforces the timeless message of universal brotherhood, love and compassion.
"I extend my greetings and best wishes to all our citizens on the joyous occasion of Id-ul-Fitr, which marks the culmination of the holy month of Ramzan. "May this auspicious day unite the country and bless us with peace, progress and prosperity," he added.
The Prime Minister in his message said that the festival of Eid, which marks the culmination of the holy month of 'Ramzan', is a celebration of the spirit of sharing and brotherhood.
"May this festival bring peace, prosperity and happiness," Dr. Singh added.
