The Janata Dal (United) on Monday said that it has always been in support of the Goods and Services Tax (GST) Bill and hoped that it would be passed in the ongoing monsoon session of the Parliament.
JD(U) leader Sharad Yadav told ANI, "We have always been in support of the GST and will always be. I believe that the Centre has spoken with all the parties in the regard and I think that the bill will get passed with consensus."
With the Central Government likely to introduce the Goods and Services Tax (GST) Bill in the Rajya Sabha on Tuesday, most of the political parties have virtually given their consent to it, though with riders.
