Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer has auctioned off a lunch opportunity with her to raise money for the Aspire East Palo Alto Charter School.
Mayer's move comes after billionaire Warren Buffet's EBay auction for a power lunch, the CNN reports.
According to the report, Mayer has launched the auction on the bidding site Charitybuzz that has received the latest bid of 41500 dollars.
The report said that the one-hour lunch with Mayer will be held at Yahoo's Sunnyvale headquarters in California and the charity will receive 80 percent of the winning bid after Charitybuzz takes a 20 percent share.
Charitybuzz's CEO Coppy Holzman said that more people from the field of technology are aiming at the superstar status and people such as Tim Cook and Marissa Mayer absolutely have the star power.
The auction will end on June 27, the report added.
