Bhel spurted 7.39% to Rs 151.90 and topped the gainers in the BSE's 'A' group. The stock rose on volume of 32.97 lakh shares, higher than an average volume of 11.52 lakh shares in the past one quarter. The stock extended prior two-day 8.89% gain.
Jaiprakash Power Ventures jumped 5.89% to Rs 16.35 and was second biggest gainer in 'A' group. The stock rose on bargain hunting after falling 8.31% in four trading days to Rs 15.44 on 25 September 2013 from a recent high of Rs 16.84 on 20 September 2013.
Financial Technologies (India) surged 4.79% to Rs 157.40 and was third biggest gainer in 'A' group. The stock rose on bargain hunting after falling 14.78% in four trading days to Rs 150.20 on 25 September 2013 from a recent high of Rs 176.25 on 19 September 2013.
Oberoi Realty gained 4.29% to Rs 174 and was fourth biggest gainer in 'A' group. The OFS got bids for 1.85 crore shares, compared with 1.14 crore shares on offer. The OFS was subscribed 162.39% at an indicative bid price of Rs 166.93 per share. Vikas Oberoi, the promoter of Oberoi Realty, had put on offer 1.14 crore equity shares, representing 3.47% of the equity share capital of the company, via Offer for Sale (OFS) on the separate windows provided by the stock exchanges today, 26 September 2013. The floor price for the OFS was set at Rs 158 per share. The floor price was at a discount of 5.3% to the stock's closing price of Rs 166.85 on Wednesday, 25 September 2013.
JSW Energy rose 4.15% to Rs 46.40. The stock was fifth biggest gainer in 'A' group.
