Board of JSW Steel approves to form wholly owned subsidiary

At meeting held on 31 October 2017

The Board of JSW Steel at its meeting held on 31 October 2017 has approved to form a wholly owned subsidiary of the Company by the name of JSW Utkal Steel or such other name as may be approved by the Registrar of Companies, with an initial investment of up to Rs 150 crore to undertake preliminary studies and for other costs.

The Company plans to set up a steel plant in the state of Odisha.
