China: Market finishes 2.1% up

Mainland China share market finished the session sharp higher on Monday, 12 May 2014, on speculation the government will take steps to bolster equities, with shares in financial and commodity companies led gains. The Shanghai Composite rose 2.1% to 2,052.87 at the close.
