Cupid surged 5.25% to Rs 269.70 at 10:46 IST on BSE after the company said it has received a new order worth Rs 1.36 crore.
The announcement was made after market hours on Friday, 24 November 2017.Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 67.72 points or 0.2% at 33,611.52.
On the BSE, 16,000 shares were traded on the counter so far as against the average daily volumes of 6,526 shares in the past one quarter. The stock had hit a high of Rs 284.80 and a low of Rs 260 so far during the day. The stock had hit a 52-week high of Rs 364.40 on 3 March 2017 and a 52-week low of Rs 251.05 on 17 November 2017.
Cupid has received a new order from United Nation Population Fund (UNFPA) to supply female condoms for the first time to Malawi, Africa worth Rs 1.36 crore.
Cupid's net profit rose 10.8% to Rs 5.95 crore on 2.5% growth in net sales to Rs 22.06 crore in Q2 September 2017 over Q2 September 2016.
