Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 55.46 points, or 0.16% to 34,898.97.Delta Corp surged 6.20% at Rs 337.45. The stock topped the gainers in 'A' group. On the BSE, 16.64 lakh shares were traded on the counter so far as against the average daily volumes of 4.57 lakh shares in the past two weeks.
HeidelbergCement India spurted 5.63% at Rs 176.50. The stock was the second biggest gainer in 'A' group. On the BSE, 5.98 lakh shares were traded on the counter so far as against the average daily volumes of 71,000 shares in the past two weeks.
HCL Technologies jumped 4.68% at Rs 949.35. The stock was the third biggest gainer in 'A' group. On the BSE, 1.33 lakh shares were traded on the counter so far as against the average daily volumes of 75,000 shares in the past two weeks.
Reliance Communications climbed 4.13% at Rs 32.80. The stock was the fourth biggest gainer in 'A' group. On the BSE, 67.03 lakh shares were traded on the counter so far as against the average daily volumes of 1.53 crore shares in the past two weeks.
Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals rose 3.98% at Rs 276.85. The stock was the fifth biggest gainer in 'A' group. On the BSE, 29,000 shares were traded on the counter so far as against the average daily volumes of 31,000 shares in the past two weeks.
