Footwear makers edge higher on excise duty relief

Shares of two footwear makers Bata India and Relaxo Footwear rose 2.22% to 5.09% at 12:35 IST on BSE after Finance Minister Arun Jaitley in Union Budget 2015-16 today, 28 February 2015 said that leather footwear to get 6% excise duty relief.

Bata India (up 2.22% at Rs 1,250) and Relaxo Footwear (up 5.09% at Rs 743.75) edged higher.

Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 91.17 points or 0.31% at 29,128.95.

Finance Minister Arun Jaitley in his first full-fledged Union Budget 2015-16 today, 28 February 2015 said that leather footwear to get 6% excise duty relief.
