Inflow of Rs 460.96 crore on 14 August 2015
Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) bought shares worth a net Rs 460.96 crore in the previous trading session on Friday, 14 August 2015, compared with net outflow of Rs 490.97 crore on Thursday, 13 August 2015.
There was a net inflow of Rs 460.96 crore in the equity market on 14 August 2015, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 4445.12 crore and gross sales of Rs 3984.16 crore. There was a net inflow of Rs 461.46 crore from the secondary equity market on 14 August 2015, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 4444.47 crore and gross sales of Rs 3983.01 crore. The S&P BSE Sensex jumped 517.78 points or 1.88% to settle at 28,067.31, its highest closing level since 10 August 2015.
There was an outflow of Rs 0.50 crore from the category 'primary markets & others' on 14 August 2015.
FPIs have sold shares worth a net Rs 714.04 crore in August 2015 so far (till 14 August 2015). They have sold shares worth a net Rs 836.16 crore into the secondary equity markets in August 2015 so far (till 14 August 2015). FPIs had bought shares worth a net Rs 5318.99 crore last month. They had bought shares worth a net Rs 1865.19 crore from the secondary equity markets last month.
FPIs have bought shares worth a net Rs 43685.58 crore in calendar year 2015 so far (till 14 August 2015). They have bought shares worth a net Rs 27374.99 crore from the secondary equity markets in calendar year 2015 so far (till 14 August 2015). FPIs had bought shares worth a net Rs 97055.90 crore in the calendar year 2014. They had bought shares worth a net Rs 84440.80 crore from the secondary equity markets in calendar year 2014.
