Net inflow of Rs 154.52 crore on 15 January 2018
Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) bought stocks worth a net Rs 154.52 crore from the secondary equity markets on 15 January 2018, compared with net outflow of Rs 3.95 crore on 12 January 2018. On 15 January 2018, the Sensex rose 251.12 points or 0.73% to settle at 34,843.51, a record closing high.
The net inflow of Rs 154.52 crore into the secondary equity markets on 15 January 2018 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 5152.89 crore and gross sales of Rs 4998.37 crore.
There was a net outflow of Rs 1.78 crore from the 'primary market & others' category on 15 January 2018, which was a result of zero gross purchases and gross sales of Rs 1.78 crore.
FPIs have bought stocks worth a net Rs 2562.70 crore from the secondary equity markets in January 2018 so far (till 15 January 2018). They had sold stocks worth a net Rs 3345.02 crore into the secondary equity markets in December 2017.
FPIs have sold stocks worth a net Rs 266.77 crore into the primary market & others' category in January 2018 so far (till 15 January 2018). They had sold stocks worth a net Rs 2537.66 crore into the primary market & others' category in December 2017.
