Gujarat Gas slides after weak Q2 numbers

Gujarat Gas was down 2.23% to Rs 934.50 at 9:49 IST on BSE after net profit fell 12.1% to Rs 61.08 crore on 12.5% growth in net sales to Rs 1391.41 crore in Q2 September 2017 over Q2 September 2016.
The result was announced after market hours yesterday, 6 November 2017.Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 122.04 points or 0.36% at 33,853.23.
On the BSE, 5,552 shares were traded on the counter so far as against average daily volumes of 8,841shares in the past one quarter. The stock had hit a high of Rs 935 and a low of Rs 910 so far during the day. The stock had hit a record high of Rs 973.95 on 3 November 2017 and a 52-week low of Rs 487.10 on 9 November 2016.
The stock had underperformed the market over the past one month till 6 November 2017, advancing 5.47% compared with the Sensex's 6.03% rise. The stock had, however, outperformed the market over the past one quarter, gaining 27.06% as against the Sensex's 4.35% rise. The scrip had also outperformed the market over the past one year, advancing 74.41% as against the Sensex's 23.67% rise.
The large-cap company has equity capital of Rs 137.68 crore. Face value per share is Rs 10.
