Gujarat Industries Power Company fell 1.21% to Rs 90.10 at 10:19 IST after net profit rose 1.74% to Rs 54.97 crore on 4.56% rise in total income to Rs 358.30 crore in Q1 June 2016 over Q1 June 2015.
The company announced its Q1 result during market hours today, 29 August 2016.Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 18.26 points or 0.07% to 27,753.22
On BSE, so far 4,383 shares were traded in the counter as against average daily volume of 17,099 shares in the past one quarter. The stock hit a high of Rs 90.45 and a low of Rs 89.15 so far during the day. The stock had hit a 52-week high of Rs 99 on 13 July 2016. The stock had hit a 52-week low of Rs 67 on 8 September 2015. The stock had outperformed the market over the past 30 days till 26 August 2016, rising 1.16% compared with Sensex's 1.51% fall. The scrip also outperformed the market in past one quarter, gaining 9.03% as against Sensex's 4.23% rise.
The power generation firm has equity capital of Rs 151.25 crore. Face value per share is Rs 10.
