HEG surged 8.85% to Rs 659.05 at 14:43 IST on BSE, with the stock extending recent strong gains.
Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 239.07 points, or 0.76% at 31,627.46. The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 206.30 points, or 1.32% at 15,862.32.
High volumes were witnessed on the counter. On the BSE, 2.99 lakh shares were traded on the counter so far as against the average daily volumes of 92,041 shares in the past one quarter. The stock had hit a high of Rs 668.95 so far during the day, which is also its record high. The stock hit a low of Rs 612 so far during the day. The stock had hit a 52-week low of Rs 144.10 on 22 November 2016.
The stock had outperformed the market over the past one month till 29 August 2017, gaining 34.2% compared with the Sensex's 2.85% fall. The scrip had also outperformed the market over the past one quarter gaining 119.76% as against the Sensex's 0.9% rise. The scrip had also outperformed the market over the past one year advancing 254.06% as against the Sensex's 12.49% rise.
The small-cap company has equity capital of Rs 39.96 crore. Face value per share is Rs 10.
