Hong Kong Stocks mixed on global trade war fears

Hong Kong share market closed volatile session higher on Friday, 1 June 2018, as investors' cheered news of China A-shares' long-awaited inclusion in MSCI's benchmark market indexes. However, market gain was limited on reigniting investor fears of a global trade war after reports the United States will impose tariffs on steel and aluminum imports from the European Union, Canada and Mexico. The Hang Seng index rose 0.1%, to 30,492.91, while the China Enterprises Index gained 0.4%, to 12,020.09 points. Turnover reduced to HK$120.7 billion from HK$203.8 billion on Thursday.
