Idea Cellular fell 1.71% to Rs 172.70 at 14:21 IST on BSE on profit booking after the stock rose 4.43% in the preceding two trading sessions to Rs 175.70 on 3 October 2013 from a recent low of Rs 168.25 on 30 September 2013.
Meanwhile, the BSE Sensex was up 118.30 points, or 0.59%, to 20,020.37.
On BSE, 1.39 lakh shares were traded in the counter compared with average volume of 5.17 lakh shares in the past one quarter.
The stock hit a high of Rs 176.95 and a low of Rs 171.50 so far during the day. The stock hit a record high of Rs 178.35 on 3 October 2013. The stock hit a 52-week low of Rs 78.60 on 11 October 2012.
The stock had outperformed the market over the past one month till 3 October 2013, rising 17.13% compared with the Sensex's 9.14% rise. The scrip had also outperformed the market in past one quarter, gaining 24.52% as against Sensex's 3.78% rise.
