IL&FS group companies slump

Shares of the IL&FS group companies were locked in lower circuit at 10:40 IST on BSE after its parent defaulted on debt obligations.

Infrastructure Leasing and Financial Services (IL&FS) said it was unable to service its obligations in respect of principal and interest with respect to inter corporate deposit of Rs 20,18,15,188 due 8 October 2018.

IL&FS Transportation Network was locked in 10% lower circuit at Rs 24.55.

IL&FS Engineering and Construction was locked in 10% lower circuit at Rs 20.43.

IL&FS Investment Managers was locked in 5% lower circuit at Rs 9.32.
