Fuel product consumption improves 3.4% in April-November 2017
India's fuel product consumption or sales improved 6.2% to 17.41 mt in November 2017 over a year ago. Diesel sales increased 7.5% to 7.26 mt, petcoke 10.3% to 1.91 mt, LPG 6.7% to 2.00 mt, petrol 4.8% to 2.12 mt and other products 18.5% to 0.62 mt. The consumption of bitumen also improved 16.4% to 0.62 mt, ATF 8.4% to 0.64 mt, light diesel oil 25.8% to 0.05 mt, lubes/greases 1.9% to 0.30 mt and fuel oil 0.1% to 0.57 mt. However, the consumption of naphtha declined 6.1% to 1.01 mt and kerosene 18.8% to 0.31 mt in November 2017.Consumption or sales of fuel products increased 3.4% to 134.60 mt in April-November 2017 over April-November 2016. Sales of diesel increased 5.3%, petrol 8.6%, LPG 8.8%, and petcoke 6.0%. Consumption of other products moved up 9.4%, ATF 8.9%, lubes/greases 2.1% and light diesel oil 1.0%. However, the consumption of bitumen declined 3.8%, fuel oil 8.5%, naphtha 10.6% and kerosene 32.2% in April-November 2017.
