Natco Pharma drops on profit booking

Natco Pharma lost 2.63% to Rs 2,552.25 at 14:12 IST on BSE, with the stock declining on profit booking after steep recent rally.

Meanwhile, the BSE Sensex was down 46.67 points, or 0.16%, to 28,668.25

On BSE, so far 26,271 shares were traded in the counter, compared with an average volume of 28,884 shares in the past one quarter.

The stock hit a high of Rs 2,645.90 and a low of Rs 2,552.25 so far during the day. The stock had scaled a record high of Rs 2,709 on 7 April 2015. The stock hit a 52-week low of Rs 701.70 on 16 April 2014.

 

The stock had outperformed the market over the past one month till 8 April 2015, rising 73.18% compared with 2.52% decline in the Sensex. The scrip had also outperformed the market in past one quarter, rising 83% as against Sensex's 5.25% rise.

The mid-cap company has an equity capital of Rs 33.23 crore. Face value per share is Rs 10.

Shares of Natco Pharma were on a roll recently, surging 24.56% in five trading sessions to settle at Rs 2,621.20 on 8 April 2015 from a recent low of Rs 2,104.20 on 30 March 2015.

On a consolidated basis, net profit of Natco Pharma declined 52% to Rs 14.34 crore on 0.8% decline in net sales to Rs 187.90 crore in Q3 December 2014 over Q3 December 2013.

Natco Pharma manufactures generic dosage forms, bulk actives and intermediates for the Indian and international markets.
