Turnover rises
Nifty May 2013 futures were at 6051.20, near spot closing of 6043.55. Turnover on NSE's futures & options (F&O) segment rose to Rs 118493.84 crore from Rs 96624.05 crore on Monday, 6 May 2013.
United Spirits May 2013 futures were at 2349, near spot closing of 2345.95.
State Bank of India (SBI) May 2013 futures were at 2241.65, at a discount compared to spot closing of 2255.
Reliance Communications May 2013 futures were at 112.40, near spot closing of 112.05.
In the spot market, the 50-unit CNX Nifty jumped 72.50 points or 1.21% to settle at 6,043.55, its highest closing level since 30 January 2013.
The May 2013 derivatives contracts expire on 30 May 2013.
