NTPC standalone net profit declines 25.54% in the March 2017 quarter

Sales rise 11.41% to Rs 20416.67 crore

Net profit of NTPC declined 25.54% to Rs 2079.40 crore in the quarter ended March 2017 as against Rs 2792.69 crore during the previous quarter ended March 2016. Sales rose 11.41% to Rs 20416.67 crore in the quarter ended March 2017 as against Rs 18325.15 crore during the previous quarter ended March 2016.

For the full year,net profit declined 12.85% to Rs 9385.26 crore in the year ended March 2017 as against Rs 10769.60 crore during the previous year ended March 2016. Sales rose 10.49% to Rs 78273.44 crore in the year ended March 2017 as against Rs 70843.81 crore during the previous year ended March 2016.
