Quick Wrap: Nifty FMCG Index declines 1.69%

Nifty FMCG index ended down 1.69% at 29991.4 today. The index is up 0.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, ITC Ltd slipped 4.30%, United Spirits Ltd fell 2.84% and Britannia Industries Ltd added 1.59%. The Nifty FMCG index is up 8.00% over last one year compared to the 2.28% decline in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Media index added 1.30% and Nifty PSU Bank index has slid 1.28% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 has declined 0.84% to close at 10831.5 while the SENSEX is down 0.92% to close at 36108.47 today.
