Quick Wrap: Nifty Infrastructure Index declines 0.97%

Nifty Infrastructure index ended down 0.97% at 3249.7 today. The index is down 2.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Engineers India Ltd slipped 2.29%, Larsen & Toubro Ltd fell 1.90% and Adani Power Ltd rose 1.83%. The Nifty Infrastructure index is up 4.00% over last one year compared to the 4.80% surge in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty PSE index is down 0.87% and Nifty Metal index increased 0.75% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 has declined 0.26% to close at 11552.5 while the SENSEX is down 0.22% to close at 38736.23 today.
