Quick Wrap: Nifty IT Index declines 2.45%

Nifty IT index ended down 2.45% at 14338.5 today. The index is down 3.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Infibeam Avenues Ltd slipped 4.31%, Tech Mahindra Ltd fell 3.82% and HCL Technologies Ltd dropped 3.49%. The Nifty IT index is up 28.00% over last one year compared to the 3.83% surge in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Pharma index is down 2.19% and Nifty PSU Bank index increased 2.04% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 has declined 0.06% to close at 10576.3 while the SENSEX is down 0.01% to close at 35141.99 today.
