Quick Wrap: Nifty IT Index declines 2.84%

Nifty IT index ended down 2.84% at 13879.15 today. The index is down 4.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Tata Consultancy Services Ltd slipped 3.53%, Infosys Ltd shed 3.48% and Tech Mahindra Ltd fell 2.68%. The Nifty IT index is up 25.00% over last one year compared to the 2.65% surge in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Pharma index added 1.70% and Nifty Realty index added 1.50% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 is down 0.53% to close at 10600.05 while the SENSEX is down 0.77% to close at 35199.8 today.
