Quick Wrap: Nifty IT Index gains 2.86%

Nifty IT index ended up 2.86% at 14632.9 today. The index has gained 4.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Infibeam Avenues Ltd dropped 10.17%, Mindtree Ltd jumped 6.15% and Tata Consultancy Services Ltd gained 4.95%. The Nifty IT index has soared 30.00% over last one year compared to the 3.46% increase in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty PSE index has dropped 2.21% and Nifty Media index increased 2.14% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 witnessed a rise of 0.40% to close at 10728.85 while the SENSEX increased 0.57% to close at 35716.95 today.
