Quick Wrap: Nifty Media Index declines 1.46%

Nifty Media index ended down 1.46% at 1803.6 today. The index is down 2.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Jump Networks Ltd gained 3.91%, Jagran Prakashan Ltd slipped 3.76% and Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd shed 3.50%. The Nifty Media index is down 30.00% over last one year compared to the 12.02% surge in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Auto index is down 0.93% and Nifty Consumption index is down 0.82% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 is down 0.71% to close at 12168.45 while the SENSEX is down 0.73% to close at 41253.74 today.
