Quick Wrap: Nifty Media Index declines 4.55%

Nifty Media index ended down 4.55% at 1594.7 today. The index is down 9.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Inox Leisure Ltd shed 12.30%, PVR Ltd slipped 9.60% and Jagran Prakashan Ltd fell 5.80%. The Nifty Media index is down 37.00% over last one year compared to the 2.48% surge in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty PSU Bank index is down 4.52% and Nifty Metal index is down 2.16% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 is down 0.62% to close at 11132.75 while the SENSEX has dropped 0.40% to close at 38144.02 today.
