Quick Wrap: Nifty Media Index falls 2.37%

Nifty Media index closed down 2.37% at 2367.05 today. The index has slipped 6.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Dish TV India Ltd dropped 17.61%, Sun TV Network Ltd slipped 5.08% and UFO Moviez India Ltd fell 3.14%. The Nifty Media index has fallen 23.00% over last one year compared to the 1.66% slide in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty PSU Bank index has dropped 2.07% and Nifty Pharma index is down 2.05% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 is down 0.98% to close at 10124.9 while the SENSEX has slid 1.01% to close at 33690.09 today.
