Quick Wrap: Nifty Media Index gains 4.18%

Nifty Media index closed up 4.18% at 1856.9 today. The index has slipped 11.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Network 18 Media & Investments Ltd added 11.75%, Dish TV India Ltd gained 7.62% and Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd jumped 6.75%. The Nifty Media index has fallen 35.00% over last one year compared to the 6.50% slide in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Metal index gained 3.41% and Nifty PSE index added 3.00% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 added 0.82% to close at 10829.35 while the SENSEX recorded a gain of 0.63% to close at 36701.16 today.
