Quick Wrap: Nifty Metal Index rises 1.36%

Nifty Metal index closed up 1.36% at 3154.6 today. The index is down 0.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, APL Apollo Tubes Ltd gained 4.78%, Jindal Stainless (Hisar) Ltd jumped 3.77% and Hindustan Copper Ltd added 3.35%. The Nifty Metal index is down 20.00% over last one year compared to the 3.15% surge in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Pharma index added 0.62% and Nifty MNC index increased 0.45% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 witnessed a rise of 0.02% to close at 10862.55 while the SENSEX is down 0.02% to close at 36068.33 today.
