Quick Wrap: Nifty Pharma Index gains 3.21%

Nifty Pharma index ended up 3.21% at 9481.15 today. The index has gained 3.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Sun Pharmaceuticals Industries Ltd rose 6.72%, Cadila Healthcare Ltd shed 4.05% and Biocon Ltd added 3.10%. The Nifty Pharma index has soared 8.00% over last one year compared to the 16.75% increase in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Realty index gained 1.98% and Nifty Media index gained 1.41% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 recorded a gain of 0.70% to close at 11435.1 while the SENSEX increased 0.55% to close at 37852 today.
