Quick Wrap: Nifty Pharma Index rises 1.39%

Nifty Pharma index closed up 1.39% at 9643.9 today. The index is down 1.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Piramal Enterprises Ltd gained 4.06%, Divis Laboratories Ltd jumped 3.44% and Aurobindo Pharma Ltd rose 2.66%. The Nifty Pharma index is up 2.00% over last one year compared to the 2.68% surge in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Metal index is down 0.87% and Nifty PSE index increased 0.86% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 has declined 0.12% to close at 10585.2 while the SENSEX is down 0.22% to close at 35158.55 today.
