Quick Wrap: Nifty Pharma Index rises 2.51%

Nifty Pharma index closed up 2.51% at 10245.15 today. The index is up 2.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Biocon Ltd added 5.42%, Aurobindo Pharma Ltd jumped 4.06% and Sun Pharmaceuticals Industries Ltd rose 2.74%. The Nifty Pharma index is up 10.00% over last one year compared to the 12.10% surge in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty MNC index added 2.00% and Nifty Financial Services index increased 1.90% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 witnessed a rise of 0.91% to close at 11067.45 while the SENSEX recorded a gain of 0.96% to close at 36652.06 today.
