Quick Wrap: Nifty Pharma Index rises 2.67%

Nifty Pharma index closed up 2.67% at 10390.95 today. The index is up 12.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Dr Reddys Laboratories Ltd gained 4.70%, Lupin Ltd rose 4.23% and Cadila Healthcare Ltd jumped 3.83%. The Nifty Pharma index is up 17.00% over last one year compared to the 17.77% surge in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty IT index added 1.81% and Nifty Energy index has dropped 1.24% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 increased 0.03% to close at 11680.5 while the SENSEX is down 0.12% to close at 38645.07 today.
