Quick Wrap: Nifty Pharma Index rises 3.26%

Nifty Pharma index closed up 3.26% at 8107.6 today. The index is up 7.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Sun Pharmaceuticals Industries Ltd gained 5.66%, Lupin Ltd added 4.03% and Dr Reddys Laboratories Ltd rose 3.49%. The Nifty Pharma index is down 12.00% over last one year compared to the 12.60% surge in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Media index added 3.23% and Nifty Realty index has dropped 1.47% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 recorded a gain of 0.49% to close at 11999.1 while the SENSEX added 0.45% to close at 40651.64 today.
