Quick Wrap: Nifty PSE Index registers a drop of 2.58%

Nifty PSE index closed down 2.58% at 2279.55 today. The index has added 1.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Oil & Natural Gas Corpn Ltd fell 4.61%, NTPC Ltd slipped 4.49% and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd dropped 4.14%. The Nifty PSE index has decreased 34.00% over last one year compared to the 19.02% fall in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Consumption index has slid 1.67% and Nifty Financial Services index has slid 1.55% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 has declined 0.78% to close at 9199.05 while the SENSEX has declined 0.76% to close at 31443.38 today.
